#POWERMOM: Cristin Cooper

Cristin (1)

Ever since we launched our game-changing Power Play Foundation, we’ve been introducing you to #Powerplayers—beauty and lifestyle experts who also never fail to eclipse expectations. In honor of Mother’s Day, we’ve decided to make this week all about #PowerMoms—women who aren’t just killin’ out in the world, but also on the home front with their little ones.

Meet Cristin Cooper, blogger at The Southern Style Guide and mom to Hayden, 4, and Scottie, 2.

Mother’s Day plans?

Cristin: Church and then a huge meal!

The best Mother’s Day “gift” you could receive?

Cristin: Alone time in the form of a spa day.

How has your beauty routine changed since you became a mom?

Cristin: I spend way more on beauty products now. Those under-eye circles aren't going to cover themselves!

When you have an afternoon alone with your children at home in North Carolina, what do you do?

Cristin: If it's sunny you can find us on the lake or by the pool, and if it's cold or rainy, we're snuggled on the couch watching The Greatest Showman for the millionth time.

If we snooped in your handbag, we’d know you were a mom because. . .

Cristin: You would find hair bows and hair ties and suckers galore to keep them silent in the car!

How would your children describe what you “do”?

Cristin: They would say their mom works on the computer, but the word “computer” would not be pronounced correctly.

Who (or what) is your “foundation"?

Cristin: My faith.

What does being a “power mom” mean to you?

Cristin: Waking up every morning and loving my girls the best I know how and going to bed every night determined to do it again the next day.
