First, CoverFX was known for its wide range of foundations and BB creams and primers for every concern. Then, they added Custom Cover Drops to the mix, an ultra-pigmented serum-y product that could make your favorite day cream a foundation with a single drop. The drops were apparently a hit because eventually, the brand launched Custom Enhancer Drops — a collection of nine illuminating and bronzing liquids.
Now, not a day too soon for your holiday party turn-up glam comes the introduction of Glitter Drops ($44) in three colors: Lunar, a multi-colored pastel; Mirage, a golden champagne glitter; and Aurora, a multi-tonal pink glitter.
These drops, like their siblings, can be worn alone or mixed in with any other product for a face, or even full-body glow. The dropper container gives you maximum control over how much you apply, which, in the brand's words, allows the user to "decide how #CoverFXtra they want to be."
If you want even more glitter, however, you're in luck as the Glitter Drops are not the only shimmer-studded launch. CoverFX is also introducing Shimmer Veil, the brand's first foray into color cosmetics — they're a crease-proof, sparkle crème in six shades. There's Halo, a holographic, multi-dimensional shimmer; Celestial, a glimmering pearl shimmer; Amethyst, an iridescent lavender shimmer; Moonstone, a shimmering topaz; Magic, a shimmering blush champagne; and Soleil, a shimmering peachy pink.
These are recommended for use on the eyes or lips, but like the drops, they can be used wherever you want to turn up your sparkle.
To celebrate these nine new products, Cover FX teamed up with celebrity makeup artist, Patrick Ta, for the launch's editorial photography and campaign styling. Ta suggests applying with fingers and tapping it into skin. "As a highlight, make sure you apply the product onto the flattest part of your cheekbone so that the light and camera will catch the glow even more," he says. "Then, using a Beauty Blender apply the Cover FX Glitter Drops once more to make sure everything is nice and diffused.”
Glitter Drops launch tomorrow (12/19) on Sephora's Instagram Stories and both products will be available on Coverfx.com beginning 12/20.
